Fennec is the codename for the new Claude Sonnet 5 model. It’s supposed to have 1M context, be more powerful than Opus 4.5, and cost half the price. Word is it’s dropping tomorrow. That would explain pretty well why nobody’s bothering with RAG in Claude Code right now.
