the real alignment scare from this week: a subtle bug in claude code made the model much dumber. software engineers worldwide were significantly less productive for two days not just one anecdote, many people have been telling me this it's fixed now apparently
I had Claude Code working for me all day to try and figure out why my new, super efficient DPO implementation doesn't match our old inefficient one, and it kinda just did it? I checked in on it at noon, and it is still working on it. Seems to have found the issue.
