Claude Code & MCP/CLI
Users are discussing the pros and cons of Claude Code's MCP (Managed Code Pipeline) implementation, its integration with CLI tools like GitHub and skills.sh, and comparing it to alternative approaches.
That will certainly be an improvement, but I have to say that I like it when Claude Code runs gh in bash, because it can do everything, while the MCP implementation is a bit of a pain. Isn't better cooperation with CLI utilities better?
I thought I had permitted mcp__github_inline_comment__create_inline_comment by allowing the entire GitHub MCP, but since this was the mcp for providing Claude code actions, it hadn't been enabled. You can tell if you look carefully at the underscores, but it's tricky.
