Claude Code Commoditization & Access
Discussions revolve around the commoditization of Claude Code, exploring alternative access methods, its potential for rapid application development, and comparisons to other models like ChatGPT and GLM-4.7 regarding cost and usability.
I just learnt that people are reverse engineering AI coding tools (not the popular ones) to get access to Claude models at discounted price. Basically the non-popular AI coding tools offer Claude API at discounts and people are using them for Claude Code.
Claude Code isn't the ChatGPT moment—it's the commoditization signal. Built 3-4 apps in 2 weekends. Less than a day each. Just chatting. Feature parity across 15 coding assistants. Differentiation collapsed. Software without unique data moats within 12 months = irrelevant.
My AI prediction for the next 6 to 12 months. You'll see the "application" layer of the technology playing out, given that AI labs are in dire need of getting meaningful revenue onboard in order to have a successful IPO. Claude Code and apps built around it are just one
