I usually use Claude code and Codex from the CLI too, so lately I’ve been feeling like maybe I don’t really need VSCode at all. I had customized my vimrc so it could also be used with the VSCode neovim extension, but now I’m thinking of just throwing everything away and fully

just an observation of my peers: as soon as the vs code extension for claude code dropped, they said goodbye to the terminal.

Real bummer. I often promoted the use of Cline. It was a good tool. Basically abandoning it now for opencode. I’ll just use vscode maybe kilo, if I want an IDE. I’ve mostly combo’s Claude code and opencode and Vi. Vim was always at my heart anyway :)
